Tilmann Wick und das Celloensemble der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten
Das Celloensemble Cesthetik entsprang einer Idee von Prof. Tilmann Wick, mit ehemaligen und aktuellen Cellostudenten seiner Klasse in Hannover rein kammermusikalisch auf hohem technischem und künstlerischem Niveau zu musizieren. Oft wurden also Cellisten aus drei, gar vier Kontinenten zusammengerufen, alle mit eindrucksvoller, individueller solistischer wie auch kammermusikalischer Laufbahn.
Dabei hat das Celloensemblespiel in seiner Klasse Tradition. Es ist nicht die Philosophie ihres Lehrers, nur die besten Studentinnen und Studenten spielen zu lassen, gar selbst immer den ersten Part zu übernehmen, um ein Vorzeigeprojekt zu initiieren, sondern vielmehr einen gemeinsamen Geist zu kreieren, der junge, noch unerfahrene Spieler mit bereits versierten und ambitionierten Cellisten zusammenbringt. Aber alle bringen großes Talent mit ein. So spielen Studenten allen Alters vom 1. Semester Bachelor über Master zu Soloklasse hoch motiviert und engagiert zusammen. Das Ergebnis überrascht sicherlich, denn der gemeinsame und ansteckende Spirit ist die Arbeit des Lehrers, seine Studenten gerade in ihrer individuellen Ausprägung zu unterstützen und kritisch voranzubringen.
Eines der Kernziele dieses Ensemblespiels ist es, die schier unbegrenzten klanglichen Möglichkeiten des Violoncellos zur Entfaltung zu bringen, hier können mit Leichtigkeit alle Musikgenres bedient werden, wobei Originalwerke neben vielen Bearbeitungen stehen. Dass sich das Cello sozusagen selber begleiten kann, weil es durch den enormen Tonumfang vom tiefen Bass in die allerhöchsten Höhen spielend kommen kann, macht es fast einzigartig, und lässt ein ganzes Orchester aufspielen.

The cello ensemble Cesthetik, the brainchild of Prof. Tilmann Wick, seeks to play chamber music at the highest technical and artistic level with current and former students of his cello class in Hanover. Cellists from three and even four continents bring impressive individual solo and chamber music careers together into one stunning result.
Cello ensemble playing has long been a tradition in the class of Prof. Wick. His philosophy is to create a unique musical collegiality bringing together younger less experienced cellists with those in the higher echelons. Every student gets a turn, learning from each other and all bringing great talent to the table. Thus, students of all ages, from the first semester of the Bachelor degree to Masters and Solo classes, play together in a highly motivated and committed manner. The result is surprising, but more than that, Prof. Wick seeks to harness the spirit of the group whilst supporting the individual's development.
One of the core goals of this ensemble playing is to explore and develop the unlimited timbral possibilities of the cello. It is testament to the cello and these cellists that all musical genres can be served with ease, drawing repertoire from original compositions alongside numerous transcriptions. The fact that the cello can accompany itself, so to speak, with its large tonal range from the deepest bass to the very highest reaches, makes it almost unique and superbly suited to a cello orchestra setting.
Academy of Musical Excellence
Dies ist ein Ready-to-go-Projekt, was bereits 2012 in der Verwirklichungsphase mit über 55 Millionen Euro Finanzierungszusicherung stand. Durch einen Wechsel in der Politik konnte das Projekt letztlich an diesem Standort nicht mehr realisiert werden.
Die Kernkompetenz der internationalen Musikakademie ist die musikalische Spitzenausbildung hochbegabter Musiker. Gelehrt wird eine Ganzheitlichkeit, wobei die Erfassung von Komplexität, das heißt die zwingende Verbindung von Einzelkomponenten, von Anfang an integriert ist. Dies führt letztlich zu großer Freiheit körperlicher und geistiger Natur.
Ein einzigartiger Standort mit seinem campusartigen Naturareal garantiert intakte Umweltbedingungen und eine gesunde Entwicklung unserer Schüler. Die Schüler erfahren neben dem regulären Schulbetrieb neue ganzheitliche Lern-und Entwicklungsformen, individuell auf ihre Persönlichkeitsstruktur abgestimmt.
Das Ziel ist das freie Heraustreten einer gelebten Leidenschaft hin zu Spitzenleistung. Die Academy of Musical Excellence soll zum internationalen Kompetenzzentrum im Bereich der musikalischen Hochbegabtenförderung werden.

This is a ready-to-go project, which was already in the implementation phase in 2012 with over 55 million euros in financing assured. Due to a change in politics, the project was put on hold at the original location.
The core philosophy of the Academy of Musical Excellence lies in the holistic musical education of highly talented musicians. Students are encouraged from the very beginning to connect and integrate individual aspects of themselves and musical ideas into one convincing whole. This ultimately leads to our end goal - that of great physical and mental freedom.
Set in a unique and healthy environmental location, the Academy guarantees the healthy development of young students. In addition to regular school activities, the students experience new holistic forms of learning and development, individually tailored to their personality and learning styles.
The aim is to allow the students’ passion to flourish and to achieve optimal performance. The Academy of Musical Excellence seeks to become an international centre of excellence in the field of musical talent development.
